THE GEORGE BORROW SOCIETY
The George Borrow Society was founded in July 1991 to promote
knowledge of the life and works of George Borrow (1803-81). Meetings are held each year, usually in July
or September. They normally include a
dinner, other social events, talks on subjects related to Borrow and visits to
places with Borrovian connections. The Society issues the George Borrow
Bulletin to members each spring and autumn. This has about 100 pages and
includes articles, news of past and future events and publications relating to
Borrow. Copies of the Bulletin are
deposited in the copyright libraries (ISSN 0962-3930). Back numbers are available at £4.00 each.
Membership is effective
from 1 Apr and costs £15.00 a year for an individual and £22.50 for a couple at
the same address.
The corporate subscription rate is £15.00 a year. For students
the cost is £10.00 a year.
Life membership is £150.00
